Amber Bell is starting her PhD investigating the effect of trace elements on bees. This is part of the Marsden Fast-Start project

Jade te Bogt is starting her MSc investigating extraction techniques for compounds in olive oil. This work is in collaboration with Whio Innovation and Analytica Laboratories

Dr Megan Grainger has been announced as a Kudos Award finalist in the "Hamilton City Council Emerging Scientist Award" category.

MARSDEN FAST START AWARD

October 2020

Megan Grainger has been awarded a Marsden Fast Start grant to investigate the effect of heavy metals on bees.

This work is titled "Metal incorporation into honeybee brains and cells: at what cost to the hive?” and is funded over 3 years.
